During the 700 events that we have facilitated with aanmelder.nl we have noticed that if participants have trouble with registration, it mostly has to do with managing multiple registrations. You can think of a situation in which a university department wants to register two professors for the same conference on one computer. When a participant finds out that he has been mixing the two registrations or has edited a registration into another, it is confusing and takes time for the participant and the organiser (that normally has to fix the registrations again).

The experience we gained from this is that participants like to have the freedom to do small edits in their registrations (not including payment), and sometimes manage more than one registration. To make the distinction between adding new registrations and editing your former one very clear, we have added this text. It might look superfluous at first, but we know that it gives much clarity to participants that are handling their registration and saves their time and that of the organizer. It must be said that most participant do a one time registration, so don't worry about many people changing it afterwards. The time you'll save with the couple of people that want to make a change and can do that online is the added value of aanmelder.
