• Seven receptions: 4 in Prague, 1 in Brno and 2 in Ljubljana for post-conference attendees:  

• Pre-Conference Welcome Reception at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Prague (21 May) 

• Reception at the Mayor's Residence in Prague (22 May)

• Reception at the National Technical Museum for the launch of the Last House by Adolf Loos (23 May)

• Closing Reception at the Prague City Museum (24 May)

• Welcome Reception in Brno at Villa Tugendhat (26 May)

• Welcome Reception at the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana (28 May) 

• Closing reception at the National Gallery of Slovenia in Ljubljana hosted by the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Czechia (29 May)
• Lecture program
• House Tour program with professional guides including all site admissions

• Coffee breaks, lunches, receptions, local transportation between preferred hotels and venues and between all house museums in the tour program.

The guided tours are not barrier-free:
Regarding the locations of the houses and the number of stairs, some of the tours may prove physically demanding to some attendees.

Luggage:
Because we are moving locations from Prague to Brno (and package C participants to Vienna and Ljubljana to Venice), participants are limited to one carryon and one personal item (purse or backpack). 

Shoes:
When packing, pack light and bring good and comfortable walking shoes. The streets are sometimes made of cobblestones and the terrain around the houses can be uneven. If you prefer to wear heels in the evening, bring them with you because we won't return to the hotel before the receptions.

Weather conditions:
On average, it is maximum 18° degrees Celsius in May in Prague and at least around 8° degrees Celsius. We thought it handy to add an Iconic Houses umbrella to the conference bag, so there is no need to bring your own.

Arrival Information:
Arrange your own transportation to Hotel International. Prague taxi drivers are inconsistent. We recommend you to use Uber or the local and inexpensive Liftago. There is a free WI-FI in the airport arrivals hall but for practical reasons we recommend to download the App to your mobile phone while you are still home. Please note that you might need cash (CZK) ready to pay for your transportation. You can withdraw Czech crowns from ATM, details here. There is an Exchange Office at the airport, too. 

Covid:

Bring your vaccination cards in case needed.

Cancellation Policy:
Call +31 622 69 07 11 and email info@iconichouses.org by February 15, 2023 for a refund minus €50 cancellation costs. Cancellations between February 15 and April 1, 2023 will receive a 50 percent refund. Cancellations after April 1, 2023 will not receive a refund. 'No shows' (due to all causes including natural disasters) are non-refundable and registrants are liable for the full registration fee. Our conference program is subject to change at any point before or during the conference itself. We are unable to accept responsibility for changes made which are outside of our control.
We strongly encourage everyone to purchase travel insurance.
