Tijdens de masterclass Advanced Finance & Control geven inspirerende sprekers hun visie en vertellen zij vanuit hun ervaring over de belangrijkste principes en inzichten.
Hoogleraren en experts
- Prof. dr. Dennis Vink is hoogleraar financiën en investeringen. Hij is directeur van het Nyenrode Center voor Finance en is tevens gasthoogleraar aan de Deense technische universiteit in Kopenhagen. Hij is een veelgevraagd spreker en management adviseur op het terrein van financieel management in de publieke en private sector.
- Dr. Mike Nawas is associate professor of financial en lid van het bestuur van de Stichting Administratiekantoor Aandelen Triodos Bank.
- Drs. Cees Koomen – executive lecturer aan Nyenrode Business Universiteit en onder andere verbonden als Fellow aan de Amsterdam School of Real Estate. Vanuit zijn eigen adviespraktijk actief als (interim) manager en management consultant.

Prof. dr. Dennis Vink
Prof. dr. Dennis Vink is Professor of Finance and Investment at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and is the Director of the Center for Finance. He teaches corporate finance and strategic financial management. Furthermore, Dennis is the author of various academic papers that focus on structured finance. Next to his work in academia, he is involved in advisory work that deals with complex issues in the field of financial management in the public and private sector.
Dennis has been given the professor of the year award twice for teaching excellence. The first award he received was in the Nyenrode Executive MBA jointly organized with Kellogg School of Management in 2009 , and the second in 2013. Furthermore, he worked with (senior) management of major corporations, such as: ANWB, ABN AMRO, BAM, Damen Shipyards, Heijmans, Eneco, Eureko / Achmea, Oranjewoud, Reed Business and ING Real Estate.
Several papers he worked on are co-authored by Frank Fabozzi on topics related to structured finance to advance the knowledge in the area of credit ratings and the use of asset-backed securities in (European) financial markets. His work is published in high quality international academic journals, such as: the European Journal of Finance, The Journal of Structured Finance, The Journal of Fixed Income, and the European Financial Management Journal. His working papers are published by the International Center for Finance at Yale School of Management, EDHEC-Risk Institute, and Vlerick Leuven Gent School of Management School. He has written opinion pieces specifically on the use of financial instruments in the Dutch market for Het Financieele Dagblad, NRC Handelsblad, de Accountant, and MeJudice.
He received a Master of Science degree in Financial Management from Nyenrode Business Universiteit (1999) where he also obtained his PhD degree (2007). Additional training was followed through the Tilburg PhD Program in Finance (2003-2005), and Cambridge Judge Business School (2013). He is a member of the American Finance Association, European Finance Association, European Financial Management Association, and Midwest Finance Association.
Dennis also serves as a Visiting Professor of Finance at the Moscow State University (MSU),Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Stellenbosch Business School. Besides that, he is President at the European Financial Management Association (2015-2016), has an advisory position at Agrifirm and Rijksoverheid. Furthermore, he is a member of the Academic Board and the International Advisory Board at Nyenrode.
Dr. Mike Nawas
Mike Nawas is appointed Associate Professor of Financial Markets for the Center for Finance at Nyenrode in 2012. In the financial markets he is a widely recognized leader. Financial News, the Dow Jones publication, named Mike in 2008 in the top 10 of most influential people in European Capital Markets. Mike holds a Masters Degree (1989) and Ph.D. (1995) from the Faculties of Economics and Social Sciences at Tilburg University, the Netherlands.
Mike is the founder of Bishopsfield Capital Partners (BCP). Prior to founding BCP, he worked at ABN AMRO, the international Dutch bank. In 2007, ABN AMRO was acquired by the Royal Bank of Scotland and during 2008 and 2009 Mike performed dual roles at ABN AMRO as Global Head of Credit Markets Origination and at RBS as Global Head of Corporate and Structured DCM.
During his 20 years at ABN AMRO, Mike worked in various structured finance areas including structured and syndicated lending, project, commodity and ECA finance, debt capital markets, emerging markets and, most notably, securitization. He was appointed Global Head of Securitization in 2003 and soon after that broadened his role to become Global Head of Fixed Income Capital Markets and Structured Finance. So, from 2004 onward he has led the bank's origination business across the entire spectrum of credit products and in a great variety of geographies. He had a 750 person team in 25 countries.
Drs. Cees Koomen
