Karolien van den Akker. In February 2017 I received my PhD on the role of learning processes in eating behaviour at CPS, FPN. After my PhD I worked as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor in the same department. Now, I work as a researcher at the research institute CentERdata (Tilburg), where I conduct experimental (contract) research in the field of consumer behaviour.
Timo Giesbrecht. Obtained his PhD in Cognitive Psychology at Maastricht University. I joined Unilever in 2008 and have since worked at Unilever’s European R&D centres on innovation projects spanning many product categories and geographies. I implement cutting edge research in the area of neuroscience in business-relevant applications. In my work, I employ a wide array of measures and paradigms such as neuroimaging, psychophysiological measures, and behavioural tasks in collaboration with leading academics around the world.
Tim Leufkens. I defended my PhD-thesis titled ‘Hypnotics and anxiolytics: Field and laboratory measures of drug safety in driving performance and cognitive functions’ in 2009. I conducted my research at the department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology at FPN. After my PhD I did a post-doc at the same department. Now, I work as a Senior Research Scientist at Philips Research Eindhoven contributing to the substantiation of technological innovations in the field of mental and neurological health.
Martin Frost. I received my PhD on “Functional Cortical Cartography” in 2012 at the department of Cognitive Neuroscience at FPN. After my PhD I was a post doc in the same department for a few years. For the last two and a half years I have worked at Medtronic, a medical device company, in Maastricht. In my current role I am a scientific and clinical data expert in the field of vascular disease management.
