Welcome at our 13th MHeNs one-day workshop for PhD students:

TTN Pain and Comorbidities

Pain is a severe condition occurring in a wide variety of disorders, both physical and psychological. The neuropathology underlying these comorbidities have important biomarkers, neurotransmitters, brain regions, and genetic background in common. The connection between the different comorbidities of pain provides important insights for other research fields like anxiety, depression, stress and cognition.

This workshop takes a closer look at pain and its comorbidities in three distinct settings: experimental research, clinical practice, and genetic aspects through lectures and case studies. The case studies will further integrate pain and comorbidities (e.g. How do we measure average pain last week in patients with Alzheimers disease).
