Wed 13, 20 and 27 Mar, 10 and 17 Apr – 19:30 to 21:45
Lumière Cinema, Bassin 88

Film analysis is the process in which a film is analysed in terms of the visual, the sound, the editing and narration. Analysing film will help us understand the effectiveness of the intentions and messages of filmmakers and our own interpretations of films. Each session will be illustrated with film clips programmed at Lumière Cinema (keep an eye on our website for the titles).

Karel Deburchgrave is the chairman of the Belgian film monthly Filmmagie and has worked as a film critic for various Dutch and English magazines. He teaches film at the film museums of Brussels, Antwerp and Louvain.
