Experiences 25 September

On this day you can visit one of our business clients, like circular hub De Groene Afslag, Hortus Botanicus, Roze Bunker and farm de Bouwerij.

The Experience Day is between 09:30 and 17:30

De Groene Afslag (Laren)

De Groene Afslag is a circular meeting place in Laren, with meeting rooms, delicious catering, a unique terrace, green programs and home to De Veranderschool. Here, you can see for yourself how the world can become greener, and how you can help make it happen.

De Groene Afslag makes change fun and manageable, putting you in a green mood. In August, De Groene Afslag is moving to a new location: an old military building that has been completely redeveloped in a circular manner. This new location is approximately two and a half times larger and is located 400 metres from the old location. From 1 September, everyone is welcome at the new location. So are we!

You will find a unique collection of rare and exotic plants, spread across historic greenhouses and a beautiful garden.

Roze Bunker (Culemborg)

The Fruit Butchers (Fruitslagers) at Roze Bunker are revolutionising the soft drinks industry. They promote biodiversity, process waste streams, and collaborate to shorten the food chain. Soft drinks and aperitifs as the solution!

In collaboration with the industry, they are creating a circular fruit chain, from bud to stem. This year, they expect to squeeze 36,000 kilos of peeled lemons from the limoncello industry for the Citrus Movement, and they will brew a whole new line of condiments from the leftover scraps: Preserved. Is your mouth watering yet?

Melkveehouderij de Bouwerij (Breukelen)

The farm of Max van Tilburg and Nicole Schellekens is located on the estate of Ridderhofstad Gunterstein in Breukelen. At this spot on the Vecht river with an age-old cultural landscape, the traditional Dutch Blaarkoppen cows run outside as much as possible.

Animal welfare comes first at De Bouwerij. The cows are allowed to grow old on the farm. The entrepreneurs strive to run their business as naturally as possible, feeding their animals mainly on grass and using a minimum number of concentrates. This way, there is room for people and nature and there is no manure surplus. In the future, they want to allow even more people to enjoy this place by opening a bed and breakfast, shop and tearoom.
