Space and its Endless Technical Possibilities
Let us take you to the place where it all started and where it will all end… Space! Our next alumni event will be at the European Space Agency (ESA) on Wednesday 8 October. Here, 18 Member States work together to pursue a wide range of ambitious and innovative goals in space. We will rock it at ESA's largest site and technical heart: the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), also known as the incubator of the European space effort. Most ESA projects are born here and this is where they are guided through the various phases of development. More than 2000 specialists work here on dozens of projects, including numerous TU Delft alumni. During the NL Space Week 2025 doors will open to TU Delft alumni in Noordwijk. In an elaborate programme, we will examine the central theme: 'Space and its Endless Technical Possibilities'.
The event will take off with drinks and bites, after which we will be welcomed by Maaike Smelter, Community Manager NL Space Campus, and Dietmar Pilz, Director of ESTEC, will give an introduction speech. The programme will continue with talks about multiple space projects, with three pitches from TU Delft alumni working at ESA. We will conclude with a TU Delft expert who will give you an update on what's happening in Delft. Following the pitches, enjoy a drink while continuing to network with fellow TU Delft alumni. Grab your chance to take a look behind the scenes at ESA in its famous High Bay, a large, tall room used for testing spacecraft and satellite equipment. Don't miss this unique opportunity. The sky is the limit, and so are the available seats: register now to secure your spot at this exciting event since we have limited places available!
