Inclusive Education

Lunch Session

2-December-2025 | Teaching Lab

Inclusive Education is not just a moral imperative, but a powerful driver of social and academic success. It fosters a culture of belonging, promotes diversity of thought, and ensures that every learner has the opportunity to thrive. By embracing inclusive practices, we create environments where students and staff feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

We are happy to invite you a interactive session on Inclusive Education!

The lunch session

In this series of Inclusive Education Community Lunches we will explore inspiring practices across the university and build on them by sharing our own experiences. We kickstart this sessions with Riëlle Hondelink, from the EEMCS faculty. She will explain more about the BSc EE mentorship programme and related initiatives. If you already want to take a look at this example please check out this paper. After her talk, we will divide in groups to discuss our perspective on the topic/example. See the concept schedule below.

Target Audience

This event is open to anyone at TU Delft who is interested in inclusive education. While it may be especially relevant for those involved in teaching, we warmly welcome students, support staff, and all others who would like to join and contribute.

Background

A hands-on masterclass on Inclusive Education in January 2025 revealed that many valuable initiatives are already happening at the university. Participants expressed a need to better understand these efforts and exchange experiences. In May 2025, we held a follow-up meeting to gather insights into current initiatives and participants’ wishes. Based on these outcomes, we will organize events that help educators connect, share experiences, and learn from each other. Our goal is to provide an overview of relevant initiatives and build a network that supports easy sharing, collaboration, and inspiration.
