About the day
How can we create the conditions for students to navigate complexity, grow through challenges, and flourish beyond university?
During the Student Guidance Day 2026, we will come together to explore this question from a variety of perspectives. Through inspiring keynotes, interactive discussions, and practical workshops, we will reflect on how we can contribute to resilience, personal development, meaningful growth, and societal engagement.
The opening keynote, “Stronger in Society: From Pressure to Perform to Meaningful Growth,” brings together voices from within our own community to explore how we can support students in developing resilience and purpose. The second keynote features Rune Mastrup Lauridsen and Tine Wåst Nielsen from the University of Southern Denmark, who will challenge us to rethink how we prepare students for an unpredictable world and how guidance can help them build a meaningful relationship with both themselves and society.
Alongside the keynotes, the programme offers a wide range of parallel sessions covering topics such as student perspectives, diversity and inclusion, innovative guidance practices, wellbeing, advising, and organisational approaches.
Whether you work directly with students, design educational experiences, shape policy, conduct research, or support student services, this day offers an opportunity to be inspired, connect with colleagues, and collectively explore the future of student guidance at UM.
