CleanTech Challenge Networking Event

CleanTech Challenge Networking Event

Introduction

The Dutch CleanTech Challenge is a competition for entrepreneurial students throughout the country. The CleanTech Challenge (CTC) was firstly organized by the London Business School in 2009 and after the great success of last year’s first Dutch CTC, we are proud to announce the second edition of the Dutch CTC. The Dutch CTC is hosted by Yes!Delft Students, the Delft Energy Club and the Financial Study Association Rotterdam and encourages student teams with interdisciplinary backgrounds to develop and pitch their concepts for a sustainable start-up.

The CTC provides entrepreneurial students the chance to work out their innovative ideas from a concept stage to a final business plan, with the help of professionals throughout the process. The event will kick off with a congress in Delft, where renowned speakers in the field of entrepreneurship and sustainability will share their experience with students. Shortly after this congress, students will need to hand in a brief description (max. 300 words) stating their idea to take part in the CTC. After handing in their ideas, 20 teams will be picked out to improve their idea under the guidance of experienced companies. After a few weeks, teams will need to hand in a more elaborate version of their idea, which will be assessed by the companies involved. Eight teams will proceed to the Dutch CTC finals, where the first three finalists receive a cash prize amongst others, enabling them to further develop their start-up. The team that takes 1st place will also win a trip to London, where they have the opportunity to participate in the global CTC as one of the finalists.
