Curious how a Delft aerospace engineer is handeling Venture Capital in San Fransisco? 

Topic - Introduction to Venture Capital:
Mark will provide an overview of venture capital including how the industry works, why and when to think about raising venture capital, from whom, how to optimize for fundraising success and finally, what pitfalls to avoid. There will be ample opportunity for interaction and Q&A.

Background Mark Pols:
After studying aerospace engineering in Delft and economics in Rotterdam, Mark went to work in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking department in London where he focused on technology sector clients. He later moved to Silicon Valley and ultimately China where he worked with many of China’s technology leaders including Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu. He then returned to the US to work in corporate development for Amazon for a number of years before joining GGV Capital, a VC firm with $3.8 billion of assets under management. While at GGV, he invested in SoFi, Airbnb, Slack and OfferUp.
