Route description & public transport

Route description and information about public transport can be found here.

Please note: for people traveling by public transport: there is a train station in Lunteren. You can reach this station by taking the Valleilijn either from the station Amersfoort or from Ede-Wageningen. Note that this train is operated by Connexxion and not the NS. You can buy a normal train ticket to Lunteren or use your OV chipcard. Please be aware that if you use your OV chipcard you will have to first check-out for the NS and then check-in for Connexxion.

Shuttle busses

For people traveling by public transport: BioSB has arranged for a shuttle bus to bring you from train station Lunteren to the conference centre and viceversa. The shuttle bus will be available on:

  • Tuesday May 15: 8:30 - 9:30 h, evening: 18:45 - 19:30 h & 22:30 - 23:30 h
  • Wednesday May 16: 8:30 - 9:30 h & 17:15 - 18:15 h

Walking route train station - De Werelt

You can also walk from the station to the venue. This is a 20 minute walk. See the map below:

 

Conference hotel

In case you are staying at the conference hotel, herewith some practical details:

  • Check-in time: April 4 around noon
  • Check-out time: April 5 before 9:00

Before check-in and after check-out you can leave your luggage in the cloakroom or in one of the lockers available at De Werelt.

Please note: you will not receive a separate confirmation of your hotel booking, this is included in your registration. You can check in by mentioning your name at the venue desk.

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:00.

Poster sessions & demo's

Posters should be prepaired in A0 portrait format: height: 1189 mm (46.81 inches) and width: 841 mm (33.11 inches). For the demos: please bring your own laptop!

  • Poster set up (room Europa): May 15, 10:30 - 11:00 h
  • Poster sessions (main hall & room Europa): May 15, 17:45 - 19:15 h and May 16, 12:15 - 13:30 h
  • Poster dismantle (room Europa): May 16, 17:30 h

Presentations & technical requirements

Presenters are kindly requested to take care that their presentation (prepared in 4/3 format) is placed on the laptop in the conference room during the break prior to your session. If you would like to use your own Apple MacBook, please don't forget to bring a VGA adaptor, they are not available at the conference centre! Please check the programme for the time slot of your presentation

Conference app

The latest update of the programme and the abstracts of lectures and posters are this year available via the Appendee conference app. The app is only accessible for the conference participants/invitees. You will receive an invitation to join the app via email. Download the Appendee app via your app store!

The app offers the possibility to post vacancies, events or other announcements via the bulletin board. 

Wireless internet & Twitter

Wireless internet is freely available via KPN-HotSpots. On Twitter please use the hashtag: #BioSB18. Updates will be tweeted via @BioSB_nl.

Announcement & job board

At the announcement board you can leave events, course announcements, job vacancies, CV’s, etc. 

Registration desk

The registration desk opens at 9:00 and is located in the main hall.
