About us

The symposium is organised by the Cognitive Futures Lab: a collaboration between researchers from TU Delft, Eindhoven University of Technology, and the University of Twente. The lab was established to connect researchers working on different parts of the consumer neurotechnology ecosystem. Our aim is to create a shared interdisciplinary space for studying how cognitive data can be sensed, processed, interpreted, represented, and meaningfully used in everyday contexts. By combining perspectives from technical development with interaction, design, and sensemaking, we seek to address challenges that cannot be solved within a single discipline. Through symposia, meetups, workshops, and future joint initiatives, we aim to grow a visible and sustainable interdisciplinary community around consumer neurotechnology, cognitive data interaction, and cognition-aware systems.
