About the event

The Delft Female Impact Community warmly invites you to our third annual alumnae event on 8 October 2025 at TU Delft. This year's theme is ‘Delft Female Impact in Health Tech’. Join us to celebrate the impact of Delft female students, researchers, and alumnae, who are shaping the future of healthcare through technology, design, entrepreneurship, leadership, or by investing.

Three inspiring alumnae will share their journey and insights with us:

  • Tamara Hoveling and Ariadna Izcara Gual have recently created and designed Lilium as an alternative to the traditional speculum, a device that has remained virtually unchanged for over 150 years. Their design is more human-centered, more intuitive, and created with real attention to how it actually feels. Millions of people have seen Lilium pass by on Dutch TV, in newspapers or on social media.

  • Eline van Beest developed a non-invasive device for sleep apnoea. She sold her company to Philips. She is now partner in an investment company and has many different roles in companies and funds investing in biotech, medtech and deep tech. Her secret to success? She says it is feminine leadership.

These women are trailblazers who are not only redefining medical innovation but also are reshaping the way we lead and do business in the health tech sector.

Also, you are invited to join interactive roundtable sessions designed to spark curiosity and conversation. Each table will be hosted by a TU Delft alumna making an impact in health tech - big and small, whether through research, design, business, innovation or by focus on women’s health. These sessions are a great opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and get inspired, no matter your background or experience in the field.

We will close the afternoon with ample time to further network over drinks and bites.
