Paul Rutten (1958) is a specialist in creative industries, culture and innovation and works as research professor at Creating 010 of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and as independent researcher working for public and corporate clients. He held professorships at Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Antwerp University, within faculties of humanities and applied economics. Staf Depla (the Alderman of Economic Affairs of the City of Eindhoven, host city of CLICKNL)
Born in Eindhoven, in 1960, Staf Depla went on to study culture techniques at Wageningen University. He worked as a programme manager for, among others, the Government Service for Land and Water Management (DLG) and the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM). He was a member of the House of Representatives for the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA) from 2000 to 2010 and was spokesperson on housing, neighbourhoods, integrity, vocational education and pensions. Staf Depla has been an alderman in his home town of Eindhoven since 2010. Up to 2014, his portfolio included finance, enforcement, personnel and organisation and ‘Spoorzone’ and, until 2013, public services.
Walter van Andel (Antwerp Management School)
Walter van Andel is a PhD researcher on entrepreneurship and creativity at Antwerp Management School, Belgium. His research focusses on management practices, innovation, business models, and entrepreneurial growth at small and medium-sized creative enterprises. In 2012 he co-authored the book “Creative Jumpers” in which business models for fast-growing companies in creative industries are examined. Before joining Antwerp Management School, Walter worked as researcher and consultant in the Netherlands, Mexico and the United States.
Frank Botman (Dasym Investment Strategies)
From his early childhood Frank Botman was fascinated by stocks and bonds, yield curves and net values. He holds a degree in commercial economics and business administration from the Amsterdam University.
Mr. Botman currently serves on the boards of Exclusive Media Group and Emesa, is a regular speaker at forums and conferences and is frequently quoted in newspapers, publications and research reports.
He started his career in 1989 with the Investment Management and Research department of HSBC and worked from 1992 to 1994 as a fund manager with IBM Pension Fund and subsequently founded HAL Capital Management where he served as Managing Director.
Media entrepreneur John de Mol asked Botman in 2000 to set up the private investment company Talpa Capital. Frank Botman served as Managing Director and Head of the Investment Team, also after Talpa Capital was renamed Cyrte Investments BV. This thematic investment boutique has a strong focus on media, entertainment, telecom and technology companies. In 2013 he continued his private equity activities as a CEO for Dasym Investment Strategies.
Mir Wermuth (Growing Games)
Mir Wermuth has a doctorate in communication science and worked in the area’s of market resarch, educational management and media consultancy and led communication and music departments at universities of applied sciences.
Since 2011 Wermuth is an independent consultant at her own firm Blinkering, specialized in coordinating innovation programmes in the crossmedia sector, e.g. for iMMovator. She is also responsible for the program management of Growing Games.
Besides this she co-develops new online advertising tools and is vice-chair of the Netherlands Journalism Fund.
Robert Barnhoorn (Spark Design)
Robert has studied Industrial Design at the University of Delft and is founder and partner at Spark design & innovation. Robert focuses on product innovation, client relations, realizing big dreams, human resources and international networking and collaborations.

Barbera Wolfensberger (FHV/BBDO)
Barbera Wolfensberger returned to advertising after a successful period of managing the communication and marketing for a number of retail chains (Konmar, Etos, Intratuin and HEMA), when she joined FHV BBDO as CEO in 2009. She is considered a communication and retail expert.
In January 2014 she was appointed as Chair of the Topsector Creative Industries and Vice-Chair of the Dutch Creative Council. She is also member of the board for Cinekid.
Joost Poort (University of Amsterdam
Joost Poort is senior economic researcher at the Institute for Information Law, (UvA) and independent economic researcher and advisor. His main research interests are the economics of copyright, media, culture, heritage and telecommunications. His research approach is mostly empirical.
He graduated in Physics with 1st class honours (Utrecht University) and graduated in the Philosophy of Science. Joost started as an economic researcher at Nyenrode Forum for Economic Research in 1998. Since 2003 he works at SEO Economic Research: first as senior researcher, and since as head of the Section Competition Policy and Regulation since 2008.
Jos van Veldhoven (Netherlands Bach Society)
Jos van Veldhoven studied musicology at Utrecht University, and choral and orchestral conducting at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. He has been associated with The Netherlands Bach Society since 1983 as a conductor and artistic director. Over the past years, literally hundreds of his programmes have made a great impression in the Netherlands and much further afield.
From 2013 he performs and records all works of Bach with the Bachvereniging, publishing them online at allofbach.com. Jos van Veldhoven often attracts attention with performances of ‘new’ repertoire within the early music genre.
In 2007, Jos van Veldhoven was knighted as Knight in the Order of the Dutch Lion for his groundbreaking work in early music.
Marieke Jonker (We Want Cinema)
Marieke Jonker is working in the film industry since 2006. She is Owner/managing director of film distribution company Amstelfilm BV and We Want Cinema. Next to that she is board member of the Dutch Film Distributors' Association NVF. Before here current positions she was programmer at Filmtheater The Uitkijk, Amsterdam and assistant programmer ‘Movies That Matter Filmfestival’. She holds a Master in “Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image” University of Amsterdam.
Martin Voigt (commercial manager Nieuw Amsterdam Publishers)
Since 2012 Martin Voigt is the commercial manager of the Trade Publisher Nieuw Amsterdam Publishers. Before this he worked 7 years as marketing manager and business director of Amsterdam University Press.
In his spare time he is the drummer in the Deltablues-band 'The Long Lost Ponies' and in the international acclaimed publishers band 'Half on Signature’.
Marc Hijink (NRC Handelsblad)
Marc Hijink (1969) is a technology reporter and columnist for the Dutch daily newspaper NRC Handelsblad. He has covered tech and internet companies for over 15 years and writes about social media and the entertainment industry. Marc puts innovation in perspective, uncovering the underlying financial interests and describing the impact of technology in our personal lives and society. There’s a story behind every shiny gadget or hot app. Marc was editor in chief for the Dutch edition of PC Magazine and tech site ZDNet.com. He has a bachelor degree in written journalism and finished his masters in communication studies on the subject of popular culture and rock music.
