As part of EDI Week 2026, join us for the central event of the week, dedicated to this year's theme: Connecting beyond differences. Through inspiring speakers, meaningful dialogue, and interactive participation, we will explore how we can build understanding across different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.

Programme

Opening Remarks

The event will be opened by Stefan Aarninkhof , Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CEG), who will reflect on the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the TU Delft community.

Keynote & Q&A: Nanoah Struik

Writer, speaker, podcaster, and queer activist Nanoah Struik (They/Them) will deliver the keynote address, followed by an audience Q&A.

Nanoah Struik is a Nigerian-Dutch writer, speaker, podcast maker, and activist. In 2023, they created the podcast documentary In Afrika Besta Ik Niet, and in 2026 published the debut book Benin Boi with Atlas Contact. Nanoah is known for speaking candidly about gender, sexuality, identity, and other topics that invite reflection and sometimes challenge existing perspectives.

Launch of the EDI Multi-Year Plan 2026-2030

Following the keynote, Marije Severs will present the new EDI Multi-Year Plan (MYP) 2026-2030, outlining TU Delft's ambitions and priorities for the coming years.

Connecting Through Dialogue with Civinc

To bring the theme of the day into practice, we will conclude the programme with an interactive Civinc session. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with people holding different viewpoints and experiences, and explore what connects us across those differences. Together, we will discover how curiosity, dialogue, and understanding can help bridge divides within our community.

Networking Drinks

After the programme, all participants are warmly invited to stay for drinks and informal conversations from 17:00 to 18:00.
