Next Generation Integrated Antennas for 6G – Enabling Smart Connectivity

Chaired by: Professor Bart Smolders (TU/e) & John Gajadharsing (Ampleon)

In this session, we will explore the role of highly integrated intelligent antenna systems in the evolution of 6G networks. These advanced antenna systems, powered by artificial intelligence and adaptive technologies, will enable highly efficient, dynamic, and reliable wireless communication. Experts will discuss how intelligent antennas can optimize spectrum usage, improve network coverage, and support diverse 6G applications, from ultra-high-speed data transfer to IoT and beyond. Join us to discover how these innovations will shape the future of connectivity.

How AI Will Drive Mobile Network Operations

Chaired by: Professor Fernando Kuipers (TU Delft) & Vincent van Beek (Solvinity)

In this session, we will explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in developing AI-native networks that self-optimise, learn from their environment, and dynamically respond to changing conditions. We will discuss the benefits of network management, including efficiency and enhanced user experience, as well as the challenges of implementing AI within network infrastructures. Experts will offer insights into the future of AI-powered networks.

6G Applications – Driving Business Value and Societal Impact

Chaired by: Jos Berière (TNO) & Robert Dijkerman (Nokia)

This session will explore the Dutch companies at the forefront of digital transformation, leveraging mobile technologies to drive innovation. Focusing on which trends/business drivers in the sector drive value and societal impact. By uncovering these drivers, the underlying drivers behind 6G technology are also revealed. As 6G is a global technology, these Dutch parties are set to drive change together with FNS, rather than be impacted by change and left with stranded assets.

We will dive into:

  • Wireless Factory – Addressing the productivity gap in manufacturing

  • How regulations and technology are intertwined in drone transport

  • How buildings will interact with the local energy grid

  • A future patient journey in an office-based Lab

National 6G Testbed – Unlocking Value for Start-ups and SMEs

Chaired by: Lenneke de Voogd - Claessen (TU Delft) & Andreas Daun (Ericsson)

In this session, we will explore the 6G National Testbed and its crucial role in fostering innovation for start-ups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The testbed offers a unique environment for testing and validating new technologies, providing start-ups and SMEs with the opportunity to experiment with cutting-edge 6G solutions. Experts will discuss how the testbed can accelerate business development, reduce time-to-market, and enhance collaboration between academia, industry, and entrepreneurs, driving growth and competitiveness in the 6G era.

Creating Business Value with 6G – From Cutting-Edge Research to Real-World Impact

Chaired by: Geerd Kakes (KPN) & Marcel Geurts (NXP)

This session dives into the business opportunities that 6G unlocks across the entire value chain. From companies developing enabling technologies such as chips, antennas, and networks, to those building next-gen applications and services, 6G is creating space for innovation, entrepreneurship, and new economic value. Experts will share inspiring examples of how cutting-edge technologies transition from the lab to the market, reveal emerging business models, and highlight how public-private partnerships and regional ecosystems help accelerate valorisation. Whether you're a tech developer, entrepreneur, or policymaker, this session will spark ideas and connect you to the fast-growing 6G innovation landscape in the FNS program.
