It is “Time for Tropical Ecology” in Amsterdam!
The 8th European Conference of Tropical Ecology will be held in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) from 24 to 28 February 2025. We invite you to join us for a celebration of the tropics, during which we hope to showcase the latest scientific advances, the brightest upcoming researchers, and some tropical secrets hidden in the heart of Amsterdam.
We aim to provide an opportunity for all participants to present their research, an atmosphere that stimulates collaboration, and social events that strengthen friendships new and old! Through sharing our knowledge and experience of tropical systems across the globe both past and present we can pave the way for securing a bright future for the center of Earth’s diversity.
The conference will feature:
Thematic sessions grouped into seven overarching topics:
Freshwater and marine ecosystems
Human-environment interactions
Monitoring and modelling
Patterns and processes
Restoration and conservation
Spatial and temporal scales
General ecology
Full catering during the conference
Opportunities for ''tropical'' excursions with the Amsterdam area!
