Break-out 1:​ ​​AI as a magnifying glass and catalyst: from exposing systemic obstacles to breaking them down 

Description

• Rather than just introducing new complexities, the rapid evolution of AI significantly amplifies the urgency and impact of existing systemic bottlenecks, already identified in the Obstacle Removal Trajectory (OVT).  

• Our objective is to use this refreshed perspective to realign the community around a shared vision, systematically tackling both these magnified legacy issues and the novel obstacles introduced by AI adoption. 

• Besides being a magnifying glass on the systemic obstacles, it can help us overcome some of them, for example LLMs for EHR data extraction and harmonisation which can help overcome hurdles of data interoperability and data availability.
