  2. Medical Delta
Medical Delta is a network of Life Sciences, Health and Technology partners. At Medical Delta, we believe that research and collaboration in the healthcare field should be focused on developing preventative measures that can be implemented in people’s homes, and treatments that are targeted and precise. We want people to be able to take control of their own health so that they live healthier, more active and longer lives.

Medical Delta helps universities, regional governments, scientists and businesses to overcome cross-disciplinary barriers and silo mentality by providing them with a platform through which they can easily launch collaborations. In encouraging these interdisciplinary relationships, our ultimate aim is to facilitate the development of a new model of healthcare, one that is focused on prevention, early diagnosis and precise, targeted treatment.

  3. Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) and the Banatao Institute - CITRIS Health Initiative

The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) was formed in 2001, when researchers within the UC system realized that the real opportunities lay not just in developing new and innovative technologies, but in applying them.

CITRIS was established to address the most pressing social and environmental issues facing California. To meet this goal, we focus our research on four core initiatives:

The CITRIS Health Initiative is built upon a robust history of addressing critical health and health care challenges facing society. The initiative focuses on developing transformative, scalable and sustainable information technology solutions to improve health and wellness. These technology-enabled solutions can improve the quality of care and health outcomes, while reducing health care costs.
