Welcome to the 17th International Blaise Users Conference registration site!

The 17th International Blaise Users Conference (IBUC) will take place from 4-6 October 2016 at the New Babylon Meeting Center in the Hague, with a pre-conference day on Monday, 3 October. It will be a special conference as it will also be the celebration of 30 years of Blaise.

IBUC is a conference for users of Blaise software which takes place roughly every 18 months. The conference is mainly targeted at developers, system staff, survey methodologists, survey operations personnel and their managers. The topics this year are closely related to the development of the emerging Blaise 5. The conference offers a unique opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas among Blaise users. Participants come from across the globe.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Hague!

Statistics Netherlands is proud to host the 17th International Blaise Users Conference together with the IBUC Committee. For more information about IBUC, visit the Blaise website.

About the venue

The Hague (Dutch: Den Haag) is the seat of government in the Netherlands and the capital city of the province of South Holland. With a population of about 515,000 inhabitants and more than one million inhabitants including the suburbs, it is the third largest city of the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Located on the west coast of the Netherlands, The Hague offers excellent shopping and dining, cultural sights and the beach (Scheveningen), all easily accessible by public transportation and by car.

Most foreign embassies in the Netherlands and 150 international organisations are located in the city, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, which makes The Hague one of the major cities hosting the United Nations, along with New York, Geneva, Vienna, Rome and Nairobi.
