Conference Registration

This form allows you to register for the 5th International Iconic Houses Conference to be held in Norwalk (close to New Canaan, Connecticut) from 15 May - 18 May 2018. Early Bird Registration is possible until 31 December.

Please fill in all fields below and submit your registration at the bottom of the page. Please note that you will be asked to pay immediately upon submitting this form: payment can be made with creditcard or Paypal. Your registration is final after your payment has been received. 
 
Registration fees
Conference registration will be limited to 100 participants – register early to avoid disappointment. 
Full event registration will include conference materials, coffee/tea breaks, refreshments and lunches on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 May 2018, a welcome reception Wednesday 16 May and a closing cocktail party Friday 18 May. 

In addition to the entry fee for the lecture program, transportation and site admission for the house tours on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 May are included. Those attendees staying at Dolce Norwalk, scheduled shuttle transporation to and from The Getty is provided for the conference.

For those who attend the 15 May Experts Meetings, lunch is by individual arrangement and not included in the conference fee. 

* Experts Meetings are limited to 40 participants.
* A maximum of 20 seats is reserved for students.
* A Post-conference Tour to Cape Cod is limited to 30 Iconic Houses members and Friends of Iconic Houses.  

Parking is not included in the conference fee for those coming with their own vehicles (15/day at Doce Hotel XXXXXXX?????).

Practical
At the tours, flat shoes are advised (at some houses even required); those in heels, please bring flat shoes to wear. Also, please be advised there may be uneven and steep areas (hillclimbing and steps), as well as walking for short distances. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate people in wheelchair. At the house tours no interior photography is allowed, unless stated differently.

Vans will transport attendees from Dolce Norwalk to the tour locations on Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th and back. No private vehicles are allowed at the house locations, those attending must ride the vans.

House Tours on May 17th and 18th, will depart from and return to Dolce Norwalk. Guests who choose to stay at alternate locations will be responsible for securing their own transportation to Dolce Norwalk.
Parking for hotel guests at Dolce Norwalk is free, for reception attendees $5, for all others who are not staying at Dolce Norwalk (during the day) $25. An additional list with accomodations in a price range from $160-$200/night is available on request.

Liability Waiver

In consideration of my admission to the properties toured through the Iconic Houses Foundation (IHF), I agree to waive, release and hold harmless IHF and the owners, operators, members, students, of cers, directors, trustees, agents, successors and assigns, of each and every house and entity included in the conference, including any announced changes, from any and all claims, injuries, causes of action, demands, costs, liability and/or harm of any kind that I may have or may acquire against each of them as a result of my participation in this event. This release shall not be effective if the claim or injury is the result of the sole negligence of the named entity.

 

Cancellation Policy

Call +31 622 69 07 11 or email info@iconichouses.org by January 1 for a full refund. Cancellations between January 1 and April 15 will receive a 50 percent refund. Cancellations after April 15 will not receive a refund.

Please note that the Iconic Houses Foundation must be notified of cancellations by e-mail (info@iconichouses.org). Cancellations will be refunded minus €100 administration costs if the cancellation is made before 1 January 2018.
From 1 January 2018 refunds are no longer possible. 'No shows' (due to all causes including natural disasters) are non-refundable and are liable for the full registration fee.

 

Our conference program is subject to change at any point before or during the conference itself. We are unable to accept responsibility for changes made which are outside of our control.
