Add-on Excursion
Pre-Conference House Tours Utrecht 8:45am-7:15pm
This day includes five House Tours. The UNESCO World Heritage listed Rietveld Schröder House; Rietveld's Erasmuslaan Model Home (1931) and privately owned Chauffeur's House (1928); architect Sybold van Ravesteyn's own house (1932) and the youngest monument of The Netherlands, Van Schijndel House, by Mart van Schijndel (1992). The homes will be visited in rotation. Each shuttle will visit a different home first. After a short and picturesque walking tour through the historic city center, lunch will be served at the monumental restaurant Winkel van Sinkel.
Welcome Reception - Euromast [included in conference fee] 8pm-9:30pm
The welcome reception in the evening is open to all registered attendees at the iconic 185-meters high Euromast tower in Rotterdam, designed by architect H.A. Maaskant in 1960.
