Join the introduction day!

A day specially designed for you, our colleague (relatively) new in a teaching or supervising role.

This event is organised as part of the Kick-start Your Teaching Programme to give you an onboarding in teaching at TU Delft. It is about the fun in teaching as well as building your toolbox and your confidence to start your role.

We asked your colleagues what they would like to have had as an onboarding to teaching at TU Delft and we came with the following building blocks:

  • networking with peers

  • getting a broader context of teaching at TU Delft

  • train teaching and/or supervising skills

  • be inspired to get the most out of your teaching/supervising role

Our Kick-start Your Teaching Team designed this day for you. Having more than 14 years of experience in different education related roles and with help of professional UTQ trainers, passionate experienced lecturers and ambitious faculty support employees we hope to give you a warm and rich welcome to teaching at TU Delft.

Workshop options

In the registration form you will choose your workshop. Either focused on your role as a supervisor or as a lecturer. See the descriptions below for more information per workshop.

Workshop A - Beyond the Lecture: Finding Your Place as a TU Delft Teacher

What makes a great teacher when knowledge is everywhere? Join a hands-on workshop to explore your unique role. In this session, we'll use movement and interactive dialogue to map our teaching identities. You'll engage with colleagues on key questions about your practice and discover how your individual approach provides essential value to our students. A perfect opportunity to reflect, connect, and sharpen your professional focus.

Workshop B - Supervising at TU Delft: Shaping Collaboration with Your Students

What makes supervision truly effective at TU Delft? In this workshop, you’ll explore how to set the tone from the very first meeting and coach in ways that foster student ownership. A chance to reflect, exchange experiences, and sharpen your supervision practice.
