The 2016 Conference

The Life History Research Society Meeting 2016 will be held at the Trippenhuis in the centre of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The Trippenhuis is designed in the Dutch classical style. It used to be the mansion of the brothers Trip and their families in the 17th century. They were among the wealthiest families of the Netherlands. In the 19th century the Rijksmuseum was located in the Trippenhuis. The Trippenhuis is now the seat of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (see https://www.knaw.nl/en/about-us/het-trippenhuis/overzicht?set_language=en, for more information and a video documentary about the history of the Trippenhuis).
