Benelux Metabolomics Days 2020

On Thursday April 2 and Friday April 3 2020, the Netherlands Metabolomics Centre will organize the Benelux Metabolomics Days in Maastricht, The Netherlands. The meeting aims to bring together the Metabolomics community in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and we will likely have some visitors as well from Germany.

Scientific programme

The meeting will feature keynote lectures by invited speakers, but most presentations will be selected via abstract submissions. Abstract submission for oral presentations is open now and will close on Friday January 31st.

You can submit your abstract here

There will be ample networking breaks, poster sessions, YoungNMC network drinks and a conference dinner in the centre of Maastricht, all included in the registration fee. The meeting is in English.

The day before the conference, on April 1st, we will be hosting workshops for Early Career Scientists, organized by experienced teachers, to learn more about different aspects of metabolomics research. A call for workshops will open shortly!

The Benelux Metabolomics days will be organized at Maastricht University, allowing us to charge low conference fees. The meeting room (Akenzaal) is situated close to Maastricht station Randwyck, with direct train connections to Maastricht central stations (2 minutes) and Liege. Maastricht is located in the most southern part of the Netherlands close to the border of Belgium and Germany.

About Maastricht

Founded by the Romans, Maastricht is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in the Netherlands. Although the city embraces innovative science, technology and art, it has been able to hang on to its fascinating past. Its rich history still shines through on every street corner. The city’s love for culture culminates in countless fairs, festivals, parties and performances throughout the year. With its striking modern buildings, 17th century townhouses, cobblestones streets and charming squares, Maastricht is a haven for students and academics, researchers and scientists, expatriates and artists.
