January 19 - 21, 2017

Dear Colleagues,

For more than 10 years the Netherlands Heart Days (NHD) is a high level annual meeting in cardiovascular radiology held in Curaçao. Since its beginning in 2006, the meeting has proved its value as evidenced by both the returning number of regular participants as well as the increment of new ones from Europe as well as from the entire Caribbean area, and North and South America.

We are very pleased to present the preliminary programme for the 11th Netherlands Heart Days, NHD2017, from January 19 - 21, 2017 in Curaçao.

This years' meeting is organized by the NHD, again together with the Maastricht University Medical Center and the section Cardiovascular Radiology of the Radiological Society of The Netherlands, in close cooperation with the NASKHO (Netherlands-Caribbean Foundation for Clinical Higher Education).

The programme covers new radiological techniques and insights into cardiovascular radiology. Speakers from The Netherlands, USA, The Caribbean and South America will  discuss hot topics on, amongst others, evidence based cardio CT, cardio-oncology effects of cancer treatment, myocardial tissue characterization, image guided cardiac interventions and replacement of diagnostic invasive coronary angiography. On the last day, the Caribbean and South America session will address new developments in radiology and cardiology in these regions.

Last year, we started the Poster Award Session in which young researchers can submit an abstract for a poster presentation on a cardiovascualr topic. Abstracts will be rated by a jury and the 5 highest rated abstracts will be presented by the submitters in a plenary poster session  The other accepted posters can be viewed on site via the digitale EPOS (Electronic Poster ) system. The best presentation will be awarded with a Poster Award . For more information, see the page "Digital Poster Session and Best Poster Award"

Early fee registration is open until December 1, 2016.

We hope to welcome you in Curaçao!
