Welcome

On 24 March 2027, MHeNs hosts its Annual Research Day, this year with a special focus on Climate and Health. How do rising temperatures affect our bodies? Who is most at risk, and how can people adapt?

We are excited to welcome Hannah Pallubinsky for our plenary session on Climate Health. She will share her perspective on heat, human adaptation and vulnerable populations. Her work within FHML and the Climate Health Institute provides a concrete link to current local climate-health research.

Would you like to pitch your own research on Climate Health? Four abstracts will be selected for a five-minute pitch, giving the audience a glimpse of the climate-health research taking place within our community.

Beyond these pitches, the Research Day is your chance to share your own work. All PhD candidates can present their research through a poster or a pitch and get feedback and suggestions from their peers. We encourage everyone to ask questions, exchange ideas and continue the conversation throughout the day.

We close the day with a Lived Experience & Research Panel, where contributions from @ease and Alzheimer Centrum bring the voices of patients, caregivers and other people with lived experience into the room. Their stories show what research and healthcare mean beyond the lab and the clinic, and why it matters to listen to those directly affected.

We look forward to an inspiring day of research, exchange and discussion, and warmly invite you to join us on 24 March 2027.
