Alina Matei

Alina Matei is senior lecturer at the Institute of Statistics, University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Her main research interests include sample coordination, estimation in presence of nonresponse, sampling algorithms, variance estimation, etc., as well as computational aspects of sample surveys.

Alina is author or co-author of several articles and book chapters on these topics, and co-author and maintainer of the R package sampling

Jeroen Ooms

Jeroen Ooms is postdoc with the rOpenSci group at UC Berkeley, California. He is an influential developer and has written a many important infrastructural packages that power the modern data science pipeline in R. His current work involves packages to facilitate encryption, text analysis and imaging in R. 

As of 2017 Jeroen is also the official maintainer for R for Windows for which he builds and prepares the rtools compiler toolchain and official releases of base R.
