Discoveries and developments in divalent carbene and nitrene chemistry have over the past decades generated exciting opportunities in fields ranging from materials to medicine. Extensive investments have been made and what was nearly impossible twenty years ago is becoming common today. This 2023 Symposium will show you the recent discoveries in this field.

Recognizing the potential of the science and technologies of divalent carbene and nitrene chemistry, several faculties came together to establish the Metal Carbene Consortium. Its purpose is to encourage research, foster collaborations, and publicize new developments in metal carbene and related areas internationally.

ISCNC 2023 Symposium

The Metal-Carbene Consortium held its first Symposium in December 2016 at the University of Hong Kong and its second Symposium in June, 2018 at Peking University in Beijing, China. The third version was held in February 2020 in San Antonio organized by the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2023 we are happy to invite you to the vibrant city of Amsterdam and hope to provide an event which is worthy of the successors.
