'Mastering your PhD journey!' 

 

Dear fellow PhD candidates,

In April we will organize two events linked to the topic of mastering your PhD journey: 
 

1. Webinar: ‘A practical guide for your PhD Journey’ 
   April 9th | 14.00-15.00 (CEST) | Online via Zoom
   
   During this seminar, Francine Schneider, our CAPHRI community coordinator, will share some formal (administrative/logistical steps) and informal tips with you for every phase of your PhD trajectory. In addition, she will also inform you about the new PhD regulations and will highlight important changes that PhD candidates should be aware of. 
   
    
2. Spring Meeting: 'An insiders’ guide to your PhD Journey'
   April 25th | 12.30-14.30 (CEST) | Onsite, Dub30, room 0.051
   Registration deadline = April 11th 
   
   We will start with a lunch (12.30-13.00), after which we will open to floor for a panel of experienced speakers (13.00-14.30). They will share their personal experiences and guide you through the following topics:

• Incorporating your goals into your PhD:
  Discover how to integrate your personal and professional objectives into your research process, so you can get the most out of your PhD journey. This session is tailored specifically for first and second-year PhD students and promises to be a wellspring of inspiration for your onward journey. 
   
• Tips and tricks for finalizing your dissertation:
  The final sprint can be challenging, but with the right strategies and techniques, you can approach the finish line with confidence. Learn from the experts how to successfully wrap up your dissertation and overcome the last hurdles.
   
• Life after your PhD:
  The end of your doctoral journey marks the beginning of a new chapter. Explore the different trajectories you can pursue post-PhD, whether you choose the path of academia or leverage your skills in the industry. Discover the possibilities and be inspired by the diverse career paths ahead of you.
