Getting to Maastricht
Maastricht, the most southern city in the Netherlands, is a compact city, surrounded by Belgium and Germany. It has a railway station with connections to Liège in Beglium and Aachen in Germany (with connections to high speed trains). .

We truly appreciate your consideration in opting for train travel to reach Maastricht whenever it’s possible for you. Maastricht has three railway stations, from the station Maastricht (Central) you can walk directly into the city centre; it takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the Law Faculty at the Bouillonstraat 1-3.
Maastricht has national and international train connections. There is an intercity train connection to Eindhoven and Amsterdam every 30 minutes. There are also frequent connections to Liège (Belgium), Brussels (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany) where you can transfer to international trains to London, Paris, and other European cities.

Airports in The Netherlands
- Eindhoven Airport
Travelling from Eindhoven Airport to Eindhoven Central Station is easiest by bus: routes 400 and 401, the bus departs each 5 minutes and the ride takes approximately 20 minutes. The bus ticket can be purchased at the airport, at ticket machines or bookstores. There is a direct train connection to Maastricht that takes approximately 1 hour and leaves every half hour.
- Maastricht-Aachen Airport
The bus stop is right in front of the terminal. Continue your journey from there.
Airports in Belgium
- Brussels Airport – Zaventem
Train station is located directly at the airport and will take you to Maastricht in about 1.5 hours. - Charleroi Airport
The distance to Maastricht is 100 km. By using public transport, the journey to Maastricht will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Airports in Germany
- Düsseldorf International Airport
The sky train will take your from the terminal to the airport train station. From there, the train ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. - Cologne-Bonn Airport
Take a shuttle bus from Terminal 1 to the main railway station. Take a train to Aachen, from where you take bus 350, which will bring you directly to Maastricht Central Station.
