The old city of Maastricht is home to hundreds of monuments, adding greatly to the enjoyment of just going for a walk or biking around. This tour gives you the opportunity to learn more about the historical context and background of Maastricht and its buildings, and will expose you to hundreds of years of history. We will look for lingering traces of the Romans, learn about the great churches of the Middle Ages, and sense the suffering of war in the fortifications and the back-breaking work in the factories.
