Fire Safety Checklist

Finally, here is a checklist regarding fire safety. There has been a lot of attention to this issue in recent years. In principle, the landlord is responsible for this. However, when you have participants over, it's important that you also feel responsible for their safety. Therefore, communicate with them about the fire safety situation in your house. Below is a checklist so you know which things are important in terms of fire safety at home. If there are doubts about the safety of your house, OWee can contact you.

Fire safety is the responsibility of the landlord and the residents of the house. OWee is not involved in this.

Checklist

The landlord has made a notification of fire-safe use to the municipality.

The evacuation plan is known to all residents and is visibly displayed in the house.

There is at least one working smoke detector or thermal detector in each common corridor and kitchen.

There is at least one functioning fire extinguishing device on each floor and in the communal kitchen.

The escape routes in the house are free of obstacles.

The filter of the extractor hood has been replaced or cleaned in the past 6 months.

The filter of the tumble dryer is regularly cleaned of dust/our house does not have a tumble dryer
