Your Well-Being, Your Strength:

Exploring Positive Health for students with a disability and/or chronic disease

This training session extends over 2 hours, diving into the concept of Positive Health with a special focus on students with a disability and/or chronic disease. We will explore various dimensions of health and well-being, emphasizing personal strengths and capabilities.

In this session, you will:

• Engage in talks and activities that broaden your understanding of what health means in the context of disability or chronic disease.

• Reflect on your own experiences and share stories of resilience and strength.

• Learn about balancing physical, emotional, and social challenges with your personal goals and aspirations.

• Develop a personalized action plan to enhance your wellbeing, focusing on practical steps you can take in your daily life.

Our goal is to empower you to see health as a dynamic and holistic concept, where you play an active role in shaping your well-being.

Furthermore, we want to emphasize that it can be valuable to share your own experiences. However, we do not expect this from anyone. You can share what you want to share.

After this training, you can join us for a follow-up session where you can share how you have applied Positive Health in your daily life. While attending is optional, we highly recommend it to enhance your learning and share your experiences. We hope to see many of you there!

If you have any wishes regarding the accessibility of this event or if you have any questions about this, please let us know. You can also let us know if you have questions about what to expect from this workshop.  Please send an email to disability@maastrichtuniversity.nl
