DIAM Sandpit event

In this sandpit event researchers get the opportunity to present the topics of their research in very short pitches. The exact length of a single pitch will be decided once the number of speakers is clear, but one should expect it to be of the order of 2-5 minutes.

The 'official' part of the event will last an hour at most (if there is more interest than can be accommodated within the hour, a second event may be held at a later date), but the hope is that the pitches will spark conversations in the hours, days, and weeks after the sandpit event and help researchers in DIAM connect scientifically.

For now we limit the presenter spots to permanent staff members that are actively involved in research. If the interest is great enough to warrant follow-up events, the scope can be widened in the future.

The date of the event will be decided based on speaker availability. This is why we ask every permanent staff member who wishes to present a pitch, to register. To help in room reservations, we also ask people to register who only wish to attend as audience member.
