About the event​

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁. Just last week on October 2, managers came together in Almere for the 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 with the theme 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

They were welcomed by Arjen Gerritsen, the King’s Commissioner for Flevoland, Toon van Dijk, the Regional Minister for Economy, Education, and Labour Market for Flevoland, and Team International of Horizon Flevoland. With a packed and in-depth programme, the attendees could share bold ideas about what shapes the future of business in the region.

▪ Harm Dijkstra, Senior Economic Advisor Digital Economy of the Provincie Flevoland, talked us through the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and economic status of our 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀.

▪ Khadija Imaalitane, Programme Manager High Tech Almere at the Gemeente Almere, presented the 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥&𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 to become part of the new 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲.

▪ Bert Thuis, Vice President of the Division Aerospace Vehicles at ​the NLR -Netherlands Aerospace Center (Gemeente Noordoostpolder), talked about the 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗤𝗥𝗗𝗙). He drew our attention to the regional innovation possibilities and developing test facilities at the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, all in close proximity with the 𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗖, DNW - German-Dutch Wind Tunnels and RDW.

▪ Jim van Velzen​, Commercial Manager at Lelystad Airport, Gemeente Lelystad, ​showed the possibilities and influence the opening of the Lelystad Airport can have on 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀.
