About the Annual DCSE Conference 2026

The DCSE Annual Conference 2026 brings together the TU Delft community and invited guests to explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence in materials science and scientific machine learning. This year's theme is: AI in materials science and scientific machine learning. Hosted at The Green Village, TU Delft, the conference creates a shared space for researchers, educators, students, and practitioners to connect across disciplines and career stages.

Throughout the day, the program combines invited talks, research presentations, interactive community sessions, and poster pitches by Master students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers.

Through structured community activities, participants are invited to reflect together on the maturity, opportunities, and challenges of AI in science and education, fostering open dialogue and mutual learning. By blending academic depth with informal networking moments, the DCSE Annual Conference 2026 aims to strengthen the local community, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and support responsible and impactful use of AI in research and teaching.

Poster Presentation

The DCSE Annual Conference 2026 includes a dedicated poster session for Master students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers. This is an excellent opportunity to present your work, receive feedback from a broad interdisciplinary audience, and connect with fellow researchers.

How to participate

Please indicate during registration if you would like to present a poster and include a tentative title. The deadline to apply for a poster presentation is 29 March 2026.

You will be informed by Tuesday, 31 March 2026 whether your poster has been accepted.

To be included in the final programme, accepted presenters must submit a one page slide (wide screen, portrait orientation) for a 1 minute poster pitch. Please send your slide to dcse@tudelft.nl no later than 5 April 2026. Submissions received after this deadline may not be included in the official programme.

On the day of the conference

Please bring your printed poster to the venue during the walk in session between 09:00 and 09:30.

Poster size requirements: Maximum A0 portrait or A1 landscape

The poster pitch session will take place between 11:45 and 12:15, just before the lunch break. During this session, each presenter will briefly introduce their work to the audience.
