Thank you for your interested to apply to the DTSD 2027 programme. Kindly be informed that the registration process includes 2 stages. 

 

Stage 1) Registration of your basic information and tuition payment

Stage 2) Confirmation of the Registration and an individualised request for personal information required for your visa application. 

 

Tuition fees 

The tuition fee for the UNU-DTSD 2027 Program is 1,250 euro per participant. 

An Early bird discount is provided, with reduced tuition rate of 1100 euro if application takes place before 1 August 2026.  

Please note that the joint UNU institutions are unfortunately not able to provide scholarships for this programme.

Upon payment, a complete registration link requesting for support documents as well as an invitation letter for the visum application will be provided. The visum application should be handled by the participant. Kindly note we support visa applications until 1 October 2026. In case you apply after 1 October 2026 and you need a visa to travel to The Netherlands and Germany, email us at cdo@merit.unu.edu for the information. 

 

The tuition includes: 

• Registration to the programme 
• Access to the learning environment, including readings, software and other relevant information.  
• Training in Maastricht and Bonn 
• Bus transfer from Maastricht to Bonn and Bonn-Maastricht 
• Welcome dinner
• UNU-MERIT building and UNU-EHS / UN Campus tours
• (Self-guided) Maastricht and (Self-guided) Bonn city tour
• Social activity: Maastricht Cave visit
• Certificate of completion 

 

The tuition does not include 

• Visa expenses 
• Travel from/to Maastricht (plane and train) 
• Accommodation expenses in Maastricht and Bonn. The organisation will provide  accommodation recommendations (budget and middle class options) and will facilitate the booking.  
• Meals 
• Health and Travel insurance 

An obligatory administrative fee for registration is 100 euro.
