Chinese knipkunst & Zodiac 

Lunar New Year markeert wereldwijd een nieuw begin. Daarom organiseren we een workshop rond het Chinese Lentefestival (Chun Jie), een belangrijk moment in de Chinese cultuur. Samen met Tianzhao, docent Mandarijn, ontdekken we de betekenis van het feest, de Chinese kalender en de dieren van de Chinese dierenriem. 

We starten met een korte introductie: welk dier hoort bij jouw geboortejaar? Tianzhao vertelt over de verhalen en symboliek achter deze dieren en hun rol tijdens Lunar New Year. Daarna ga je zelf aan de slag. Met traditionele Chinese knipkunst breng je jouw dierenteken tot leven. Je ontdekt, ontmoet en creëert. Zo beleef je Lunar New Year door te doen.  

Zoals bij alle INCLUDED-events is deelname gratis en alle HR-studenten en medewerkers zijn welkom!

Chinese paper cutting art & zodiac

Lunar New Year marks a new beginning for people all over the world. That’s why we’re hosting a workshop around the Chinese Spring Festival (Chun Jie), an important moment in Chinese culture. Together with Tianzhao, Mandarin teacher, we’ll explore the meaning of the celebration, the Chinese calendar, and the animals of the Chinese zodiac.

We’ll start with a short introduction: which animal belongs to your birth year? Tianzhao will share the stories and symbolism behind these animals and their role during Lunar New Year. Then it’s time to get creative. Using traditional Chinese paper cutting, you’ll bring your zodiac animal to life. You’ll discover, connect, and create — experiencing Lunar New Year by doing.

As with all INCLUDED events, participation is free and all RUAS-students and staff is welcome.
