Thank you for your interest in UNU-MERIT's short courses for the academic year 2026–2027

The courses run for 4 - 8 weeks, with an estimated workload of 20 hours a week. The courses are Maastricht based only.

Registration

As part of your application, you will be required to upload your CV, a motivation letter and copies of relevant certificates for verification purposes.

In addition, certain courses have specific entry requirements. Please carefully review all prerequisites and admission criteria on our website before applying.

As a first step, you will need to upload the required documents and pay the course fee to complete your application.

After submission, your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee. You will then be informed of the outcome (acceptance or rejection).

In the event of a rejection, the course fee will be refunded, minus the 50 euro application fee (that is not refundable).

Upon acceptance, you will receive a confirmation email from our team containing a link to upload a copy of your passport and a passport-style photo. These documents are required to register you in the university system and the education portal.

Cancellation Fee

• Full Refund: Withdrawals made before the registration deadline and before official registration are eligible for a full refund, minus a €50 application fee

• Partial Refund : Withdrawals made after registration but more than one week before the course start date are eligible for a 50% tuition refund

• No Refunds: Withdrawals made within one week before the course start date or after the course has begun are not eligible for a refund
