A spectacular theatrical extravaganza in which singers, dancers and a massive orchestra perform this late masterpiece by the most important living classical composer, Philip Glass.
Based on J.M. Coetzee’s Nobel Prize-winning novel, Waiting for the Barbarians is centred around the topical theme: ‘us’ and ‘them’. It features Nora Monsecour and the dancers of Poetics Disaster (Club Guy & Roni), the Consensus Vocalis choir and a top-class international cast that includes the Swedish star mezzo-soprano Charlotte Hellekant and the Dutch soprano Lilian Farahani. A breathtaking theatrical experience that will stay with you for a long time to come!

The opera will be performed in English with Dutch and English surtitles.
