Join us at the Alumni Circle Event in Helsinki on Wednesday 5 February 2025! 
 

The next Alumni Circle event in Helsinki is just around the corner! The perfect opportunity to, in an informal setting, meet fellow UM-alumni, make new professional connections, share memories of your time at the university, and keep in touch with your Alma Mater.

We are grateful to the Netherlands Embassy for hosting us at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador. The event will feature insightful presentations by the Ambassador himself and Peppi Heinikainen, as well as an excellent opportunity to network with fellow UM alumni in Helsinki.

Dutch ambassador in Finland Govert Jan Bijl de Vroe will share insights into the history of the residence, the bilateral relations between Finland and the Netherlands, and the embassy’s work and priorities.

Peppi Heinikainen, will provide a presentation about her professional experiences and field of expertise. Peppi is a UM alumna and an expert in European and foreign affairs. She has studied European studies at the UM and International Peace and Security at the King’s College London. She is doing a PhD at the University of Tampere with a research focus on international norms, norm competition, and multilateral cooperation in the UN Security Council.
