Arrive by public transport

Take the train

The location is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the train to Maastricht (central station) and continue your journey on foot or by bus. You can plan your journey in advance using the NS travel planner.

Continue by bus

Take bus line 3 or 4 and get off at Tongersestraat. From there, you can walk through the park to the Tapijnkazerne in approximately 10 minutes. Alternatively, take bus line 7 and get off at Prins Bisschopsingel, which is about a 4-minute walk from the venue. We recommend planning your journey via 9292.nl.

Continue by foot

If you enjoy a pleasant walk, it's approximately 30 minutes from Maastricht Station to the main event location (Tapijnkazerne 11). The route takes you through Wyck and the city park and offers a perfect start to your day back in Maastricht.

Continue by bike

From Maastricht Central Station, you can also continue your journey by bicycle. A limited number of OV-fietsen (public transport bicycles) are available for hire at the station. We recommend checking availability in advance.

Shared bicycles operated by Arriva are also available throughout Maastricht. For more information about bicycle hire options and the locations of Arriva shared bikes, please visit the website of Maastricht Bereikbaar.

There is bicycle parking available at Tapijnkazerne.

! PARKING AT THE TAPIJNKAZERNE IS NOT POSSIBLE !

As it is Pentecost weekend, Maastricht and the city centre car parks are expected to be very busy. We therefore recommend travelling early and planning your parking in advance where possible.

Free parking (recommended)

Free parking will be available at several Maastricht University parking locations around Universiteitssingel and Oxfordlaan in the Randwyck area. From these locations, dedicated UM 50 shuttle buses will take you to Tapijnkazerne.

Shuttle service

Shuttles run frequently throughout the day:

  • Every 6 minutes until 18:00

  • Every 15 minutes after 18:00

The first shuttle buses depart from Randwyck around 11:00. Return shuttles from Tapijnkazerne to Randwyck will operate until approximately 21:00.

Shuttle stops

The shuttle connects the following stops:

  • Maastricht, Universiteitssingel / Station Randwyck

  • Maastricht, Oxfordlaan

  • Maastricht, Prins Bisschopsingel

  • Maastricht, Tongerseplein

All stops will be clearly marked and easily recognisable on the day of the event.

The parking areas remain accessible throughout the event, so you can leave and return to your car at any time if needed.

Paid parking

If you prefer to park closer to the venue, paid parking is available at several car parks within walking distance of the Tapijnkazerne, including:

    • Bus 5: get off at Mosae Forum-Centre (10-minute walk to FASoS)

    • Bus 4: get off at Vrijthof (4-minute walk to FASoS)

  • LAW (Bouillonstraat 1-3)

    • Bus 4: get off at Bouillonstraat (2-minute walk to LAW)

    • Bus 6: get off at Boschstraat/Markt (10-minute walk to LAW)

  • FSE (Zwingelput 4)

Continue by foot

If you enjoy a pleasant walk, it's approximately 25-30 minutes to reach the faculty event locations in the city centre. The route takes you through the historic city centre and offers a perfect start to your day back in Maastricht.

  • SBE (Tongersestraat 53):

    Cross the iconic Sint Servaas Bridge, continue towards Amorplein and stroll past Tribunal through the historic streets of Maastricht’s city centre before arriving at Tongersestraat.

  • FASoS (Grote Gracht 90-92):

    Your route takes you across the Wilhelmina Bridge, with beautiful views of the Sint Servaas Bridge, before continuing through the historic Market Square and into the charming streets surrounding Grote Gracht.

  • LAW (Bouillonstraat 1-3):

    Cross the Sint Servaas Bridge, walk through the lively Platielstraat and continue past Vrijthof Square before arriving at the Faculty of Law in Bouillonstraat.

  • FSE (Zwingelput 4):

    Cross the Sint Servaas Bridge and walk through Maastricht’s historic city centre, past Onze Lieve Vrouweplein, before arriving at Zwingelput 4.

Take the train

The location is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the train to Maastricht Randwyck, located just a 3-minute train ride from Maastricht Central Station. Frequent Arriva regional trains (RS12 and RS18) run several times per hour between the two stations. From Maastricht Randwyck, the FHML and FPN event locations are both within easy walking distance.

Please note that the trains to Maastricht Randwyck are operated by Arriva rather than NS. If you are transferring from an NS train at Maastricht Central Station, remember to check out with NS and check in again with Arriva before boarding your train to Randwyck.

It's about a 5-minute walk from train station Maastricht Randwyck to the faculty event location Universiteitssingel 40.

Free parking (recommended)

For the easiest experience, we recommend parking at UNS 50 (Universiteitssingel 50) in Randwyck, where free parking is available for Homecoming visitors. After the faculty event programme, dedicated UM50 shuttle buses will take you to and from Tapijnkazerne for the main event, departing approximately every 15–30 minutes.
