Maastricht University turns 50 in 2026! To celebrate this milestone, we invite all UM alumni to a very special Homecoming Event on Saturday 23 May 2026 in Maastricht.

The celebration will focus on connection, reflection and shared memories. It will be a moment to relive your time at UM, meet fellow alumni from across the years and rediscover the university that shaped your student experience.

The Homecoming will begin with a optional programme at your former faculty, followed by a joint celebration for all alumni. Throughout the day you can enjoy a festive mix of activities, including entertainment, games, food and drinks, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with classmates.

A full weekend in Maastricht

We encourage you to make it a full weekend in the city. On Sunday, 24 May 2026, alumni and their families can enjoy Maastricht through a selection of optional activities, or simply explore the city at their own pace.

More information on the Sunday programme and the travel and hotel options will be communicated as soon as possible.
