27-29 May 2026 | TNO-ESI, Eindhoven (NL)

About the Archimedes initiative

Archimedes initiative event*, hosted by TNO‑ESI. Within the Archimedes initiative, this event brings together leading international research institutes in systems engineering: TNO-ESI, DLR, SERC, and TECOSA together with invited guests Fraunhofer IESE and the University of South‑Eastern Norway (USN).

The topic of the event is:

“Developing a reference architecture for V&V of complex cyber‑physical systems.”

The Archimedes initiative aims to strengthen collaboration across leading research institutes and industrial ecosystems in systems engineering. During this three‑day event, participants will work jointly to develop shared insights and perspectives that will provide input for a joint report that will be finalized following the event.

The program is intentionally designed as an interactive workshop, combining short inspirational inputs, joint technical discussions, breakout sessions, and plenary reflection.

In addition to the technical content, the event places strong emphasis on networking and informal exchange, supported by a social programme.

*Attendance at this event is by invitation only. If you are interested, please get in touch with us.
