Clean Tech Conference - Where Science meets Industry

March 17, 2026 | TU Delft Aula Conference Centre

Following the success of our previous Hydrogen and Green Chemistry conferences in 2023 and 2024, we proudly present the Clean Tech Conference 2026 – a full-day event dedicated to forging stronger collaborations across science, technology, industry, and policy to accelerate the clean transition.

Join this exceptional gathering of leading experts, innovators, policymakers, and industry pioneers who are shaping the technologies and strategies driving a sustainable future.

This third edition marks an important step forward with a richer program and more opportunities to connect and collaborate. Explore the cutting edge of clean technology research and innovation — from hydrogen and green chemistry to integrated energy systems — and discover how TU Delft’s research and partnerships are paving the way towards a cleaner industry.

Why attend?

• Gain strategic insights from international leaders, including Laura Cozzi, Director of Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks at the International Energy Agency.

Explore breakthrough innovations at the Clean Tech Innovation Market — meet start-ups, student teams, and research groups turning science into real-world impact.

Engage directly with researchers and explore opportunities for collaboration, funding, and applied research partnerships.

Network with peers and decision-makers shaping the next phase of Europe’s clean industrial transition.

Be inspired by success stories and visionary perspectives — from cutting-edge science to Olympic-level leadership in innovation, as shared by Marit Bouwmeester during the closing keynote.

Programme content

  • Keynote by Laura Cozzi (IEA)

  • Breakout sessions – choose your focus

    • Transitioning to an Inclusive Energy System: join this techno-socio-economic session to hear about the latest developments and insights towards a new energy system. How can we integrate hydrogen into the energy systems? What are feasible transition paths?

    • Enabling Green Chemistry:

    • Accelerating Large-scale Hydrogen Usage: this session is all about large-scale hydrogen uptake. Can we unlock demand by considering green hydrogen/energy use as an end product rather than an intermediate, and what are the expectations for mobility? And what role does innovation in the Port of Rotterdam play?

  • Lunch at the Clean Tech Innovation Market - meet start-ups, researchers, and TU Delft student teams presenting their innovations.

  • Collaboration sessions – co-create and connect

    • Start-up Innovation Session – from start-up to scale-up

      • Goal: accelerate the uptake of innovation by start-ups

      • For whom: investors, potential customers and R&D managers

      • How: presentation by RvO Financieringsloket, pitches by start-ups and facilitated match-making/ speed dating

    • Ideation Labs Workshop – turning research into impact

      • Goal: discover and explore product-market combinations for GroenvermogenNL and other research outcomes

      • For whom: business developers and ecosystem builders from corporates and branch organisations

      • How: pitches by GVNL Ideation Labs followed by discussion/brainstorming in small groups

    • Collaboration sessions on Hydrogen-integrated Energy Systems, Energy Transition technology, and the SAF Excellence Centre

      • Goal: explore and define new research projects to address the existing technology gaps

      • For whom: anyone who wants to contribute to new and existing collaborations between researchers, innovators and businesses

      • How: short presentations followed by a facilitated discussion
