Location: The lecture will take place in room 4.G2.014 in the Hospital.
To find it:

  • Go to level 4 and head to the Radiology Secretariat.
  • Walk in the direction of the Flendrigzaal and Wellenszaal.
  • Pass the Flendrigzaal on your left and the Wellenszaal on your right.
  • Room 4.G2.014 (“vergaderruimte”) will then be on your left.

Dr van Kuijk will share his critique of how an arbitrary statistical threshold has gained outsized influence in the scientific process, sometimes at the expense of rigor, transparency, and nuanced interpretation.
