Crossquality - from "cross border" and "quality" - explores the possibilities and challenges for the use of qualitative indicators in the evaluation of the Interreg Programme Euregio Meuse-Rhine. Since the evaluation of the individual Interreg projects and the programme has so far been carried out mainly with quantitative indicators, Crossquality aims to initiate an important innovation in the evaluation system, and should accordingly provide an impulse for other INTERREG programmes. The aim is to better understand which projects can actually sustainably improve the quality of cross-border cooperation in a specific policy field. To this end, a new method will be developed and applied with a view to the Euregio Meuse-Rhine programme.  The method will then also be used in the next INTERREG period after 2022 to better assess how the quality of cross-border cooperation is developing during the programme period.
